It would be nice if there was a way to follow certain authors so you could stay up-to-date on what they upload. There should also be an option to follow just coasters or forum posts (in case the individual doesn’t want to follow both).

Shouldn’t all the decimal points be moved a place to the left in archy’s list? That’s really odd.
I don't agree... How is it a gut punch? The site was clearly dying and losing functionality over the past year. Once NLC came to be there was just no reason to keep the old site up and running. People can say "Oh, but the tracks on there were good and now we lost them!" But those same people fail to realize that the old exchange was basically non functional, downloading tracks was pretty much impossible 90% of the time as is.
One thing that bothers me is the fact that the original owner didn't let one of the more active mods (Rwn, King, etc) take full control but instead let it break down in his hands when there were plenty of people to hand it to.

That’s just directly copied off the way back cache of the site. I know there are a lot of missing FVD values but there are some usefull ones there. There was also a friction calculator of some sort there iirc but I cannot speak to its usefulness.
It sucks that NLE was shut down and Im sure the guy who was running it had his reasons. However, I think it was done in a really shitty way. Doing it without notice over a holiday weekend? That's a move I'd expect from the current administration to pass some shady legislation. The community is small and fragile, closing the way it did was a gut punch.
Thanks!
Appreciate it.

More progress on my togo.
Emonadeo and I were recently discussing friction values for FVD++, and he suggested that there should be a go-to list for these values, as "Archy's Friction List" did for Newton 2. So here it is!
I put a "?" after "official" because these values are not set in stone. The listed values (which should grow/change with your feedback) are merely values I have found work well with the select rides I've designed. Still, they have worked perfectly, or almost perfectly, with my rides. I am also not sure if NL2 changes the friction depending on how many cars a train has. It would be great if someone could confirm that.
Feel free to suggest more values or potential changes to these values and I will expand the list.
"Friction Parameter" values for FVD++:
B&M Tiered Hyper - 0.029
B&M Inverted - .031
B&M Flyer - 0.029
B&M Dive Machine - 0.031
Gerstlauer Infinity 2 - 0.03
Mack Launched - 0.03
Intamin Rocket - 0.03
GG Timberliner - 0.021
All aboard the WTF is this shaping Express

I love trying to get shaping right in FVD
Unfortunately(?) I just tried several cases for loading a sound file in different circumstances and all were successful on my machine (I created the package and run it after renaming the original folder, so it definitely should get loaded from the package and there's no way that it can access the original directory using an absolute path). I guess the problem must be founded somewhere else and not be caused by a NL2 / package manager bug.
Directory structure:
H:.
│ loader.nl2sco
│ package bug.nl2park
│
├───scripts
│ │ Master.nlvm
│ │
│ └───music
│ MusicList.nlvm
│
└───sound
sound.wav
Script Setup:

scripts.Master:
package scripts;
import com.nolimitscoaster.*;
import scripts.music.MusicList;
public class Master extends Script{
public bool onInit(){
MusicList musicList = new MusicList(this);
return false;
}
public StaticSound getSound(){
return StaticSound.loadFromResourceId("sound", 0);
}
}
scripts.music.MusicList:
package scripts.music;
import com.nolimitscoaster.*;
import scripts.Master;
public class MusicList extends Script{
private Master master;
private StaticSound sound;
public MusicList(Master master){
this.master = master;
sound = master.getSound();
System.out.println("MusicList: " + (sound != null));
}
}
Running the package (after renaming the original directory):

^ What do you mean? This is Hall of the Mountain King, used in ALL Alton Towers promotionnal features (at least new rides).
Sorry, never mind. I could have sworn they were the same thing just from memory, but they're not. They just have similar auras.
^Because Lenny.
^lmao why do you have an official "Lenny" label?

Hmm, yeah, for some reason I disabled line breaks, although I'm not entirely sure why. I've re enabled them though, so you should be good to do that now.
I love you, jetcoasterfan. I guess you could call me a jetcoasterfanfan.
rip NLE
^You're not doing anything wrong (or everyone is). Seems like the way text is formatted was changed after the launch of NLC. The exchange is another good example for this.
