Now Soko's own general project thread
NoLimits Coaster

Since I often start or have more than 1 thing in progress at a time. Depending on how fun one project is compared to another, there will be some that inevitably fall on the back burner.

Sequoia Adventure (wooden polercoaster)

I think I'll put this on hold until we get elevator lifts/drop tracks in an update, unless I feel like (trying to?) jumping through the hoops of using the 'elevator/drop track' script since I'd rather use that than a vertical chain lift, tho I'd rather not have to model train or track just for that.

Unnamed (wooden dueling and racing coasters)

So far I found this one more fun to work on than the polercoaster. Uncharacteristically, I do not have a name picked out yet or even one that I'm leaning towards.

One side is more about airtime and laterals (no inversions) while the other side has steeper banks and inversions. Some parts race side by side while other track sections pass each other in opposite directions.

General Amusement Industry Thread

That makes sense, although I strongly disagree with that business tactic. Secondary to the park's success or not, I'd rather see classic coasters maintained properly by the industry juggernauts instead of being left to become shaky, painful messes. In my opinion as a non-businessman, the money involved would be 100% worth it.

I was utterly blown away riding Jack Rabbit for the first time a couple of years ago. I didn't even think it possible for such an old ride to run so smoothly and deliver so much airtime. I suppose my frustration comes from the juxtaposition between that experience and the lost potential of the lackluster wooden coasters at so many larger parks. I find myself sympathizing with the poor machines after disembarking - it's not their fault they beat me to a pulp and landed themselves at the bottom of my personal coaster rankings. In another world, things could've been different between us.

I think I'm getting too into this hobby.
