Hey, I do remember you from back in the day. You probably won't remember me though, I only built mediocre stuff back then xD. Anyway, welcome back!

😮 Real does exist!
On a related note, which ride? I was always partial to that terrain invert with the stripe but I’m sure you have other great designs in need of updating.
I just saw your comment in the Frame Rate thread and though "huh, nice to see him around here again", and now here's this. Welcome back! Any plans to pick up the sim again (even if not on the same level as you used to)?
Heh. So I have built quite a machine here lately as I have it doing a lot of crazy functions (Database, Video Editing, heavy Excel Calculations in the millions, etc)...but anyways...
A park like Terra absolutely killed me, even in 2560x1440p with everything maxed.
Now, you might think "Well, duh! That park is detailed and huge!"
But heres my PC:
Threadripper 1950X OC 4.0ghz
32gb 3200 GSkill TridentZ RGB
TWO 1080Ti SC2 Gaming
Now, before you elaborate on why I don't need two 1080Ti's for gaming (and youd be right), I got a second to do gaming while my original one is mining me cryptocurrency while I work. I'm just 2 months in, already paid half of it all.
But that aside, even with ALL that horsepower and 32 cores of multi-threading power (Cards were in SLI today, turned off mining), I still could barely hit 30 on a park like Terra.
Assuming that NL2 probably doesnt use more than 4 cores or so at max (didnt check that yet) and doubt its taking advantage of SLI. However, even what I have split in half is still more than capable.
@Ride_Op - what are the most intense settings that smash your FPS in NL2?
Hi.
Stopping by to see if any of the creators I used to talk to are still in the biz.
Seems like a young mans game these days! The time investment into some of these parks - incredible.
I remember those days...
Uh...
Installed the simulator.
Downloaded some parks.
Rode them with my daughter sitting next to me
Spent 1hr searching for rides I designed 9 years ago
Imported one
Might go somewhere with it. Who knows.
All in all though, nice little return to the sim.
We are on vacation, so to be blunt, don't care about "fair". It's a fun participation event weekly to highlight the best of what our community produces. We want to re-tweet pretty NoLimits screen shots and whichever one gets the most traction, bots that re-tweet all #ScreenShotSaturday posts and all, will win.

I am adding a new coaster! It is a dive machine coaster with motorbike trains and custom track! It dives through the center of the original kiddie train ride.
I would love to see just those two coaster. Just track and supports, nothing more.
What if you scaled the project back to just include the original Acrophobia and Agoraphobia, focused on completing them with some scenery, and dropped the rest of the park? A full-on park recreation is a lot for any one person to take on, and I understand your discouragement. However, Acrophobia and Agoraphobia seem to be mostly complete anyway; that goal seems much more attainable.
Decided to put Diamond Heights to an indefinite halt. Maybe I'll come back to it sometime in the future.
In this weeks SSS, are bot retweets being counted? Sheerly as any tweet with certainly hashtags gets automatically RT’d like 5 or 6 times. Doesn’t really make it the fairest playing field for those who haven’t realised.
^^ It looks like B&M pulled an Arrow from the looks of those transitions...yikes
^ Give it a week after ride opening and I guarantee all the effects will break and never function again.
Like the roller coaster equivalent of mockbuster films.
It is good now. I named this Bootleg Knockoff B&M Dive coaster from a new rap song.

Yep. It was tragic but they’ll understand in time....
^ It looks like you've got some kind of strange setup there. Do you have the track styles or types split into tiny segments? That's all I can think would do it. You've got something weird going on because it appears like you're trying to do something special. If it's one segment of track type, it should be fine.
