What is Roundup 450?
Every week the NoLimits 2 team searches YouTube and creates a top 10 list of the best NoLimits 2 videos found that week. Beginning with Roundup 100, we started making it an annual contest to submit the most amazing works for the chance to be featured on one of the Mega Roundup lists. Honorees have received prizes for placing on these lists. Check out the jaw dropping amazing work from Roundup 100, Roundup 150, Roundup 200, Roundup 250, Roundup 300, Roundup 350, and Roundup 400!
What are the rules?
The rules are fairly simple: Build an amazing coaster or ride experience in NoLimits 2 with great scenery fitting some kind of theme or story, film the ride, edit the video to music, then post it to YouTube unlisted and fill out the entry form.
Some more rules:
- You may work in a team, though only one prize is awarded
- The coaster/ride experience must be your own work. You can't take someone else's park/coaster and film it to call it your own even if you get permission. (Note: you can download & use free/shared/commercially available scenery files...just give credit where due)
- The coaster/ride experience should not have been released before - new work please so there's a surprise when your video comes out!
- Videos should be 3-5 minutes long. Yes you can make it shorter/longer, but keep it captivating.
- Please include the full ride experience in your video.
- Scenery should cover all of the default terrain environment. Remember, you only need to build what the camera sees, but we will see plain undeveloped default flat terrain and it won't look that good.
- Please don't show off all the surprises or full POVs of your work. Keep it secret until the list is revealed - the surprise is more fun!
How do you judge the results?
All entries are judged on 3 main categories:
- Quality of the Ride Experience
- Quality of the Scenic Design
- Quality of the Presentation
Ride Experience looks at what the finished ride experience is like. Is it fun? Does it flow well? Does it tell a story? Your creation does not have to be the biggest, flippiest, fastest, launchiest, anythingest. In fact, a well themed family coaster has taken the top spot before. We will also consider how well the theme or story is presented in the ride.
Scenic Design looks at the quality of the scenery surrounding your ride creation. We consider foliage (if present), lighting, sets, animated objects, special effects, sound effects for the ride, surrounding area visuals, and everything else built to be part of the attraction. The best attractions seem to take us to a different place. The scenic design is the stage on which your attraction performs.
Presentation boils down to video editing. This is a video contest, so your finished video should be sharp, well edited, and feature lots of great shots that capture and hold our attention. Music selection is just as important as the music should underscore and support the emotion of the ride experience. Ideal length for a video is 2-4 minutes. You of course can go longer, but it becomes increasingly difficult to keep long videos interesting. Less is more. Note, please include a full POV of your ride. Also note, we don't need a walk through of your queue nor do we need a full uncut ride up the lift if nothing happens other than going up (see captivating). **

FAQs
Can I work in a team?
Yes! Only one prize will be provided free, however we are working with the artist to make a limited run of all the posters available to purchase. That way other members of your team can purchase the finished artwork, and you can purchase the art for the other winners!
Do I have to make all the scenery/scripts/textures myself?
No, you can download pre-built scenery, scripts, and anything else you need to fulfill your vision. Please give credit where credit is due to the original creators.
Can I show off what I'm working on?
Yes - but keep the ride experience a surprise. We really want that magical moment and amazing reactions when people see your video for the first time when the Roundups are announced. Showing a screen or two, even a limited video teaser, is fine. When you show a full POV of your attraction you leave no surprise for the Roundup reveal. That is why we ask your finished video to remain UNLISTED so that your finished ride experience is revealed the day Roundup 450 comes out.
Can I use copyrighted music?
Yes you can! Important Warning: Make sure that you can actually use it. We've seen entries that the music was stripped out because the copyright did not allow it to be used on YouTube. Our best recommendation is to upload a test video with the music you want to use and then see if there are any restrictions. Most of the time the restriction is that you can't monetize the video but you can use the music. Sometimes the music can't be played in certain countries. On rare occasions the music can't be used at all in any form. It's best to figure this out BEFORE you spend a week editing the video to that specific music only to learn it's been removed from your video.

The Challenge: RMC the Son of Beast
Park owners were curious to see what Son of Beast would be like if given the full RMC treatment by RMC. Only problem the ride was torn down years ago. Solution: Son of Beast lives on again, rebuilt from scratch to the exact dimensions it once was! Now it's up to you to RMC Son of Beast!
Primary rules:
- Build one RMC style coaster following the general footprint of Son of Beast.
- You may use either the Hybrid or Launched Hybrid style.
- Son Of Beast and a separate outline of the support/track footprint are provided for your reference.
- Do not change, modify, or move the Son of Beast recreation, base outline, or any terrain.
- A separate coaster has been created for you to build with.
- You may use the "hide wireframe" option to hide Son of Beast and/or the base outline.
- Adequate storage for all trains is required.
- Adequate clearance must be maintained at all times.
- Your coaster follow the footprint of Son of Beast and look like it is reusing as much of the original support structure as possible.
- You can use the auto-support generator to build a new support structure.
- You may add as many inversions as you like.
- Coaster must run minimum 3 trains.
- Below ground tunnels are allowed.
- Coaster must be fully contained inside the yellow border area to avoid interfering with other rides/scenery not visible in this park.
Time Rules
- The 5 hour build period begins on June 11, 2022 at 4:00 PM GMT when the contest park is available for download.
- You must build one coaster in the provided contest map.
- You will have until 9:00 PM GMT (5 hours total) to upload your finished park to a file exchange/download/FTP site and fill out the official entry form with the download information, coaster names, your name, and your email address. Allow yourself spare time to upload your coaster and fill out this form.
Support Structure Rules
- Use of the auto-support generator is allowed and encouraged.
- You may opt (but are not required) to create your own steel spine for inversions similar to how Son of Beast used a steel spine for the loop.
- Support structure must look sufficient to handle the speed and direction of the forces throughout the ride.
- Adequate clearance must be maintained throughout the entire ride.
Other Rules:
- NO custom or pre-packaged scripts can be used on your coaster. Just keep it simple.
- Any submission not using the template and/or submissions built prior to the contest will be disqualified.
- You can only use NoLimits 2 and entities packaged with it - no custom 3D scenery, environments, or car textures.
- You may add scenery, however all scenery will be hidden and will not be judged as part of your coaster experience.
- One entry per person. If you upload more than one entry, we will only consider the last one entered.
- Please include your name and coaster name in the file name submission.
Judging criteria:
Realism - Forces, track shaping, coaster operations.
Supports - Support adequacy, clearance, design, density.
Fun - Pacing, creativity, variety, flow.
RMC-ness - How well your ride feels like a ride "RMC" would design: maintains the "heart" of the original ride while becoming a new RMC experience.
Disqualification criteria:
- Any part of track, trains, or structure (in Frozen state) go beyond the yellow border.
- Track or any part of the coaster goes below ground (without a tunnel).
- Collision with any part of the coaster: supports, track, trains, footers, station building/stairs, transfer track frame.
- Train twists or collapses into itself or touches the track during too tight of a twist.
- Coaster trains are not able to return fully to the station.
- Unable to download or open your submitted file.

It's that time for our annual stress out known as Five Hours of Power! We're thrilled to bring lots of new surprises this year, not the least of which will be guest judges from the coaster industry who are also graciously supplying prizes! We're also partnering with the American Coaster Enthusiasts to promote the contest as part of National Roller Coaster Month in June.
What is Five Hours of Power?
The contest is simple: Competitors will have just 5 hours to create a coaster from scratch, support it, test it, and upload it for judging. The competition runs at the same time for everyone around the world: Saturday, June 11th, 11 am - 4 pm Eastern Time (17:00-22:00 Central European Time). As if that wasn't hard enough, each year has featured a unique challenge like building within a restricted area, meeting capacity requirements, building off the side of an existing structure, building around existing rides, and more. To keep the playing field level, the challenge is revealed just 30 minutes ahead of the contest start, ensuring no one can plan ahead.
Sounds fun/torturous! How do I sign up?
All you need is a copy of NoLimits 2, a few energy bars/energy drinks, and the focus to power through and complete your ride in a limited time. No sign ups needed in advance. We will share out the live stream YouTube link that will reveal the rules soon. The contest template will be provided for download at the start of the competition, and included in the template's description is a link to the upload form. The coaster must be submitted prior to the end of the contest to count.
What is the special challenge this year?
We're keeping it a secret, but it is related to the coaster industry folks we have guest judging. In general the rules have stated that you can't touch water, can't touch scenery, can't go underground, and can't hit anything. Wooden and shuttle coasters were usually not allowed as they would be much easier to build/support, and the coaster had to function properly to get scored. Previous unique challenges:
- Build in a narrow area along a cliff, avoid water.
- Build around existing rides and midways, crossing a river twice. One tunnel allowed.
- Build both a wooden coaster and a shuttle coaster, pass both through a narrow canyon.
- Build a coaster with minimum capacity of 1800 riders per hour.
- Build a coaster with at least one mile of track located above a lake.
- Build a Polercoaster style ride off an existing 300 foot tower.
- Build a plausibly transportable coaster with a base frame.
- "RMC" the Son of Beast
I have more questions...

Official Roundup 450 Entry Form

Hey folks, so Roundup 450 is happening, and this year marks the return of physical prizes. Woo! This year you're playing for...posters from the phenomenal artist Gabby Gomes, a coaster nerd in her own right with some really awesome artistic skills. If your project is selected as one of the honorees, you'll get an amazing attraction art poster created of your work!
Check out Gabby's other coaster art on her main site: https://gabbygomes.com/
Entries are due September 18th, with the Roundup revealed on Wednesday, September 21st.
Also I'm going to work on printing up t-shirts for winners of previous roundups that did not get physical prizes. Be patient while I work through designs, printing, and shipping. I've emailed everyone who won those roundups with a survey link to fill out for t-shirt information.
Let's get building!

The coaster roundup never ends.
It just goes 426, my friend.
Some people started watching it, not knowing what it was.
And, they’ll continue watching it forever, just because
The coaster roundup never ends…

Can u make a screen shot from the errors ?
I went to update NoLimits 2 to 2.6.2.2 but it had an error with some files and it skipped them. It won't launch the game now due to an error. How do I fix this?
Is there a proper tutorial of Blender how to add a custom track to your NL2 coaster and then exporting it to NL2? Importing as CVS file into Blender is not a problem.
I'm new to Blender btw.
Progress of my NL2 model :

Wow this looks fantastic! In terms of getting all 12 trains on there, I recommend watching a daytime POV with a stopwatch and time all of the roller coaster sections. The entire ride cycle (both gravity sections + dark ride sections) seem to run slower than actual, while the station is closer to the real speed. This may be where your stacking issue comes from. If you can ensure that your recreation has the same duration between block sections as the original, you may be able to get 12 trains on there.
