Blue Fire
NoLimits Coaster

Hello
There was in the past a almost perfect simulation of Europapark's Blue Fire (for NeLimits V2) with an extrem detailed scenery. Does anyone know where this download did go?
Thanks!

Seaside Screamer 4 - The Final Challenge [Results Out Now]
Contests

And that's a wrap folks! We had 20+ entries in the end, and I, Digital Dan and Coasterbot will be hard at work working on the results video. Thanks to all of you who participated, even if you didn't finish in time. We have had a lot of very creative and diverse entries, and I'm glad people enjoyed working around the quirks and challenges of the template.

Monaco Grand Prix Coaster Contest - Results
Contests

Welcome to Monaco, the city-state by the sea and the home of the famed Monaco Grand Prix. Since 1929, Monaco has welcomed the pinnacle of Motorsport - Formula One - to the streets of Monte Carlo, a thrilling spectacle that has lasted nearly a century. Unfortunately, in recent years, F1 cars have gotten much longer and overtaking has become less and less common on such narrow streets. The Grimaldis have thus gotten somewhat bored of watching the race and now want a new kind of thrill to be part of their city. Now, the challenge is in your hands - design a ride to fit into the city of Monte Carlo, creating even greater thrills during the F1 race weekend and throughout the year.

The Template

Pictured is an overview of the template.

Your build area is the yellow border - all track and supports must be enclosed within this area. The top of the yellow border is your maximum build height, in which all track and supports must not go above it. This maximum height rests 300 feet (92m) above the highest ground level, and 475 feet (145m) above sea level.

The roads covered by a 5-meter-high red barrier is the F1 circuit itself, and areas marked in green are paths of varying clearance heights. No part of the coaster may enter these areas, be it track, supports, trains, or the trains' clearance envelopes.

In areas marked by blue, no track, trains, or train clearances may drop through these zones; however, you may place supports here as needed.

You may bridge over buildings (models marked in white) and get as close to them as allowed by the trains’ clearance envelopes; however, no supports can be placed on them.

In all other zones (areas without a barrier over them), you may bring track, trains, and clearances down to ground level. This includes the water and the tan area inside the hairpin corner! You may utilize the entire template so long as you do not go outside the yellow barriers.

Regulations:

  • Your ride must cross over the F1 circuit (red zones) at least twice – half a point will be awarded for each additional crossing, up to three bonus points. You may cross the track more times if you would like, but this will not add to your score any further.
  • Trees may be deleted for clearance purposes.
  • You may not use tunnels or trenches to go underneath the terrain.
  • You may not use custom scenery or buildings, but you may use custom track and trains. NLPX mods will be allowed as well! We will have a section in our submission form where you can clarify if you are using a mod, that way we know which mods to have active when we are judging your entry.
  • Stations must be placed in any of the grassy terrain areas; they may not be placed on the beach or in the water. Transfers and storage may be placed in blue zones, so long as they follow the rule in which track must be above the blue, and only supports and structure goes underneath.
  • Lastly, your ride must have enough storage for the amount of trains you are running (stations count as storage). Other than this, there are no limitations so long as you obey clearances as marked by the template and do not build out of bounds. We want to see creativity take center field here!

Timeline:

The template will be released on April 24 at midnight GMT; for those of you who prefer to use FVD++, we will provide an overlay. Your ride will be due four weeks later, on May 22 at 11:59PM GMT.

Judges:
Lcucu3 (myself)
Kristalic
Bugmonster1

Best of luck to all the entrants, and we can’t wait to see what thrilling proposals come forward to make Monaco even better!
