Custom Train Style Recommendations
NoLimits Coaster

RMC It posted on October 1st, 2021

These are likely the trains (by TheCodeMaster): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GusMKUSRQE4Vf-V44Tn2jzZO-ggd0S5Q/view
Same style by JBSCoasters: https://nolimitscentral.com/exchange/park/1715

Instructions to install them in NL2:

  1. Name your coaster INT, import the same coaster into the park and freeze that one
  2. Place scene objects (1 Nose, 1 middle segment), color them and place them inside each wireframe train
  3. Name the scene objects "INT" and copy + paste the middle segments in each train so that they equal the number of cars in the trains
  4. Do the same with shells, if you are using them
  5. Add a trigger called Station before the station block segment for restraints to work
  6. Add a trigger called LIFTSTART before a lift or a launch, and one called LIFTSTOP after a lift or a launch for launch sound effect
  7. Go into Play Mode and test it out

EDIT: You can find more coaster styles in the NoLimits 2 resource thread: https://nolimitscentral.com/forum/topic/34?page=1#c17818

could anybody help solve my question, I export the train model successfully, but it could not move

hello everyone
hope all is fine. I'd like to know if there is a method can export my custom train into the "nolimits2"? which software I need to use? thanks a lot! (I had built a coaster model form Pro-E)

Make sure your model is *.DAE or *.3DS Make a new NL2SCO in the editor incl your model.
U have to place your modelfile into the folder of your park before u make a new NL2SCO 😁

thanks a lot! that's useful for me!

I wonder if we'll get some sort of update or something to commemorate that. Time flies, huh?

I heckin hope so. Seems like updates (major and small but especially major) have been more and more sporadic. Kinda wonder what NL3 could possibly be like, if there ever is a NL3.

If they ever do a NL3, hopefully ray tracing will be supported.

In wanting to control the G-force and angle, you might as well just rebuild the layout in FVD in full.

The reason why it can't be done is there's no way for the program to parametise the layout and turn it into a series of editable functions. With FVD you're finely controlling the heartline, with NL2 you're finely controlling everything but the heartline.

thanks a lot! It is also a great way!

I'd like to know if we can edit the coaster track in FVD++, of course, the file is from another software like" no limits 2", it only can be viewed but doesn't do any things.

Can u load it into the NL2 EDITOR ?

If yes, u can extract the PKG file, then u can edit it. (thats what i think)

sry my mistake, i did not explain it clearly. I had exported the coaster track file from no limits 2, and then i had known that FVD0.79 can import the csv file directly (from professional no limits 2). after I imported the csv into FVD, it is a whole track and could not do any edit work(of course I wanna control the force and roll angle). it bothers me all the time.

Issues with fvd++
NoLimits Coaster

Hi Guys
I recently started with fvd++ and everything worked great but after 2 weeks i have 2 Issues

  1. this seems to occur also by other people using fvd that sometimes the force graphs dissapear (with mine the blue and green dissapear if i scroll to a certain point sometimes the issue isnt there but then it starts again out of nowhere.

  2. the second issue that i have is that since 2 days when I use fvd the numbers for the informations on roll, yaw, pitch etc. dissapear and it only shows "nan" wich means "not a number" if i switch into track mode tough the numbers re-appear but a soon as i switch into normal mode they start to dissapear.

Does anyone have one of the problems that i have or does someone know how to fix these?
