I just realized next year is the tenth anniversary of NL2

I had a dream last night where a new update was announced and the main new feature was alpine coasters, and I think it was advertised as the "Dollywood update" even tho the actual Dollywood itself doesn't have one.

That'd be fun. I'd also like to see Flying Turns-style bobsled coasters, steel bobsled coasters, RMC Raptor Track, Surf coaster vehicles for B&M stand-ups, etc. But also water rides like water coasters (all definitions), log flumes, rapids, etc with realistic water physics.

The Official Scripting Ask Thread
Scripting

Hello, I don't know if this will be answered but I'm working on a Morgan hyper coaster, and came up with these animated brakes there sill very much a work in progress however i was wandering if I could get help with an attachment script, i went looking through the scripts of a couple other brake/lsm packs, and found this one was very commonly used

'import com.nolimitscoaster.;
import nlvm.math3d.
;

public class Brakes extends Script{

	SceneObject sco;

	public bool onInit(){

		sco = sim.getSceneObjectForEntityId(getParentEntityId());
		float distance = 1.36f;
		int maxlength = Integer.parseInt(sco.getName());

		SceneObjectElement[] scoe = new SceneObjectElement[sco.getElementCount()];

		Vector3f pos = new Vector3f();
		sco.getTranslation(pos);
		final float range = 10.f;
		TrackPos trackPos = sim.findNearestCoasterTrack(pos, range);

		Matrix4x4f location = new Matrix4x4f();
		for(int i = 0; i < sco.getElementCount(); i++){

			scoe[i] = sco.getElementAt(i);
			scoe[i].setVisible(false);

			}

		for(int i = 0; i < scoe.length && i*distance < maxlength; i++){

			location = trackPos.getTrackPosOnCenterRailsWithOffset(i*distance).getCenterRailsMatrix();
			scoe[i].setMatrix(location);
			scoe[i].setVisible(true);
		}

		sco.setMatrix(new Matrix4x4f());
		return true;
	}

}

This, would not work for me, so I would like some help getting the track attachments right, according to blender the model is 2.02M long, and about 0.25M wide, also I made a keyframe animation in blender for the brakes clamping, is there a way I can trigger this to happen when NL2 triggers the (invisible) brakes. Thanks for any and all help. How do I make wooden supports for a twister layout?
General

I am working on a compact GG woodie in FVD and the wooden support generator, while helpful with out and back layouts, becomes a mess with a twister layout. There are random cutouts and supports overlapping each other everywhere. Does anyone have some tips as to how to (somewhat easily) make a good looking twister structure? Or do I just have to tediously build one from the ground up...

How to get G-force data and make a table
General

Hi everyone, good morning/afternoon/night, hope all is well.
there is a problem I'd like to ask u for help with:
I had made a coaster track, but I wanna get the G-force table for the whole track in order to make it more realistic. I know we can see the data like "G-force comb" in "editor" or F2 in "play". but what i wanna to do is export the whole G-force data which in different directions in each unit of time, and make a table about that, what should I do?

Dorneysaurs Alive Replacement Contest

Hosted by Lee (Seraphim)

Judging by Lee (Seraphim) & Keltan (bugmonster1)

After the booming success of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom’s addition of their world-class B&M Dive Coaster, Cedar Fair decided it was high time to show their third ever park some more love with a brand new coaster that will occupy the land which was previously used by the discontinued Dinosaurs Alive walkthrough attraction. There’s some substantial land to fit in something awesome, and some folks behind the blueprints already have something in mind… They know what they want to keep, and they know what they want to get rid of. It’ll be your duty to build something that fits within the park’s restrictions, as well as their high demands for a superstar attraction. Do you have what it takes to design this coaster? Let’s find out!
