Kumba's Revenge
KUMBA’S REVENGE
Kumba’s Revenge is inspired by the legendary Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The concept reimagines the original attraction as a modern successor, built on the same site and following parts of its classic layout while introducing the technology and elements of a new-generation Vekoma coaster.
The layout combines the thrilling vertical drop of a Tilt Coaster with a series of dynamic elements, including four inversions. The iconic interlocking corkscrews return as a direct tribute to the original Kumba, while a double zero-G roll offers a modern interpretation of the double-inversion concept, combining classic inspiration with contemporary coaster design.
The visual identity also pays tribute to the original attraction, preserving its signature turquoise track, terracotta supports and yellow trains. The custom train design features claw-inspired graphics, maintaining the wild and aggressive character that made Kumba so recognizable.
