Gullskógur Mystery Park

Legend has it that somewhere in the uninhabited highlands of Iceland there lies a remote park called Gullskógur. Far from civilization, it can only be accessed by experienced hikers, who can hike right up to the rides—at their own risk. The park is home to two very unusual coasters: Jörðfaðmur (“the ground-hugger”) and Jörðöndun (“the ground-breather”).
Those who brave the hike to the top of the tallest hill in the park may board the unique hilltop station of the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster, Jörðfaðmur (“the ground-hugger”), which hits 86 mph three times in the course of its terrain-hugging layout.
Those unwilling to make the hike to that station can still ride Jarðöndun (“the ground-breather”), which launches through a mountainside at 111 mph and spends half its ride time deep underground.
