The Challenge: A mile of spaghetti
You must build a coaster with at least 1 mile (5280 feet/1609.34m) of NORMAL track within the blue area.
Quick rules:
- Build one coaster of any style.
- Minimum 5280 feet (1609.34m) of NORMAL track must be built within the blue boundary.
- Only normal track may be built within the blue area.
All brakes, lifts, launches, transports, stations, transfers, switches, and storage tracks must NOT be built within the blue areas. NO part of these segments may touch or enter the blue boundary. - You can build any type of track segment outside of the blue area, including normal and special tracks.
- Your coaster may be as tall as you want.
- Storage track sufficient for all trains required
- You must have at least 4 trains operating on your coaster.
- Coaster track, supports, stations, & storage may not touch trees, path, other coasters, or go beyond the red border.
- NO tunnels under ground or under water.
- You may delete or move trees.
- Do NOT change, move, modify, or delete terrain, other coasters, paths, or contest borders.
- Your coaster must have enough storage to hold all of the trains off the main circuit complete with working transfer or switch/merge track
Judges will consider creativity, originality, realism, and fun.
Time Rules
- The 5 hour build period begins on August 24th, 2019 at 4:00 PM GMT when the contest park is available for download.
- You must build one coaster in the provided contest map.
- You will have until 9:00 PM GMT (5 hours total) to upload your finished park to a file exchange/download/FTP site and fill out the official entry form with the download information, coaster names, your name, and your email address. Allow yourself spare time to upload your coaster and fill out this form.
Boundary Rules
- 5280 feet of NORMAL coaster track must be fully within the blue area. Unfrozen track in the editor will be used to judge this requirement.
- All non normal track segments must not be within the blue area. This includes stations, storage, tranfsers, switches, lifts, brakes, transports, tilt tracks, and any other specialty track that is not plain coaster track.
- Multiple lifts/launches/brakes are allowed. They must be located outside of the blue area.
- No part of your coaster may cross into red boundary zones.
- No part of your coaster or supports may intersect or interfere with operation of neighboring coasters.
- You must provide adequate clearance above the paths. No part of your coaster may touch the paths.
- You can build your coaster as tall as you want.
- Supports should be realistic to hold up what you built.
- Terrain cannot be altered.
- Trees inside the build area may be deleted.
- Paths inside the area may not be deleted.
- Supports may be placed on water and on land.
- No tunnels through terrain or water.
Other Rules
- NO custom or pre-packaged scripts can be used on your coaster. Just keep it simple.
- Any submission not using the template and/or submissions built prior to the contest will be disqualified.
- You can only use NoLimits 2 and entities packaged with it - no custom 3D scenery, environments, or cartextures.
- You may add scenery, however all scenery will be hidden and will not be judged as part of your coaster experience.
- One entry per person. If you upload more than one entry, we will only consider the last one entered.
- Please include your name in the file name submission.
